I am interested in knowing how much a computer that will run good on games such as World of Warcraft, upcoming starcraft2 games, and other mmorpgs. Also for homework and websurfing?
Will a desktop pc be more affordable than a laptop?
Not looking for a best top of line, but something that runs smoothly without much lag?
Also, links of the computers might help. TY?
i dont recommend getting a laptop unless you really need one for travel or something because yes unless you are willing to pay more, it?s gonna be a downgrade as far as specs go.
try ibuypower.com. the "paladin" set-ups are prolly more than u will ever need, but you can also customize the computer to how you want it.. (i added bit more power, more memory & a slightly faster processor)
i have a pretty old alienware desktop that cost around 3,000 dollars. i just bought a computer off that site to replace it and it came out to waaaaay cheaper than any new a/w with very similar specs (almost a 1,000 dollar difference)
i am also a secret wow addict and i?ll tell you this.. the lag has to do with servers and your internet connection, not really the pc. especially in my case because i?m forced to use wireless :/ but i mean, my friend has a really good set-up and really good internet and he played on my server for a little bit and he said it lagged, too.
